Hello from the Rocky Mountains!

Hi all,
I'm a retired 72 year old law enforcement officer and veteran with a small Colorado ranch on the Western Slope of the Rockies.... not far from the town of Durango.

I Bought my Hawk 250 DLX a week ago. Still waiting for delivery. Where I live, it could take another two weeks, but I'm REALLY looking forward to it. My main bike is a Yamaha FJR, and it's great on the road. But I have really wanted a bike I could abuse, beating it around my small ranch, and get good mileage when I run to town for small items. The Hawk looks perfect.

I found the introduction to the site and hints on setup and maintenance to be extremely helpful, and mods I'm going to make are going to be fun... especially with all the things others here have tried and posted about.

Anyway, looking forward to tapping the knowledge base here and maybe (who knows?) add something someone else can use.
