Thief busted my ignition!

Had my DLX stolen from the house a few weeks ago and just got it back after PD recovered it underneath a bridge.
Battery is shot, presumably from being abandoned on its side. The bigger concern is that they punched out the cylinder to hotwire it, busting the left bolting point for that cylinder. Looks like Orion PS sells replacements for $70.
Do y'all reckon it'd be secure enough with just 1 bolt holding it in? There's a slight chance I can tap it for a larger bolt. Also considering a fat blob of some sort of glue.
Normally I'd tinker my way to a solution, but a broken elbow makes taking it apart next to impossible. Great start to the riding season, huh

Maybe JB weld? It's not a stressed part, and you could drill and tap it later. Sorry about your luck, keep your head up.

Not exactly sure what is damaged but I agree that jb weld may do the trick.
Not sure if the spot would be able to be strapped or secured with the jb weld.

And good news (getting it back) to the horrible stuff people do as a human.

Vote JB weld. make sure bonding surfaces are scuffed and solvent free. Tape off and wax any places you don't want to bond to and you can chip off those areas when cured. can be drilled and tapped if needed
