I just felt compelled to write this little review of some gear I picked up recently via the trust interwebs.

I had been interested in a Merlin armored riding hoodie for the fall, but they were sold out everywhere. I ended up pulling the trigger on something very similar by a company called Monarch, which is sold via eBay. It retailed for $89.99 with lightning-fast free shipping. Bigger brands run for over $150. The hoodie comes with CE shoulder and elbow armor, is fully-lined with Dupont Kevlar, and has a foam back insert that can be replaced with a CE unit.

The hoodie is very stylish and you wouldn't know it's armored or Kevlar-lined. I'm pleased with the quality and believe it will be comfortable to ride in during the fall.
