Opposite what most Americans do, but not Europeans. They start the P/A trail in Sept or Oct at the beginning of the South American summer. That way they do not miss their own riding season.

So they ride Europe all summer there, go to SA and ride all the summer there, then ride all summer in North America as they move north.
