Alabama 24 Hour 6 Man Team Race

Anyone going? It would be fun to try the Chinese bikes on a true endurance course! I'm 57, 58 in July so I'd quality for the 45+ team.

Good luck! There's a GPX team that's running that, and I'm not sure what bike you've got, but if it's a Hawk or TBR7, you might want to give it a miss; I would imagine that if you made the wheels strong enough to not break under race conditions, the forks/swingarm/frame would break next. They're not race bikes by any means, unless the plan is to go slow and have fun.

Oh dont talk anyone out of it. I think if you're interested, then give it a try.
Parts are cheap, memories are priceless.

I just wouldn't want someone getting killed on a bike that they paid $1k for, with components that correspond with the price.

I've watched "On any Sunday" and those guys drove the crap out of spindly bikes with crappy suspension out through desserts and such. Sure they break sometimes. Lol

After watching the video of that race, I agree, I dont think our hawk style bikes would survive those jumps. You'd also be "outclassed" by real dirtbikes.

However, if you got a few guys together on Chonda bikes and made it a race between yourselves, now that could make a fun ride.

I'm pretty certain it would hold-up better than me...lol It's an EGL A17 300cc, almost just like the SSR 300 with a few changes.
