Fuel filter for hawk 250

The hawk 250 does not come with a fuel filter. Is it necessary to install one? Thanks

Technically speaking the Hawk does have a form of filter on the fuel valve inside the tank. I always install a small lawn and garden filter inline on mine. One of the little disc ones works well enough. https://www.gopowersports.com/3-16-i...hoCKR4QAvD_BwE

You can usually find a red Briggs and Stratton branded one at the local auto parts store.
