Is TSPS back to their old "bait and switch?"
TXPS is actually the correct abbreviation.
As some of you know, I have been searching for the Ultimate, All-Purpose dual sport bike for quite some time now! Well, I settled on the BMS CRP 250. After looking at multiple sites with prices ranging wildly from $1900's to $2400's I came across this:(pic below) Without looking at the description I pulled the plug and went through the checkout...for a Red One! Yes, I know, not too smart...but it was a BMS CRP 250! Oh well, the description describes a Storm or a Brozz, so we'll find out Monday of what type of Hondoids they are misrepresenting. I'm really not worried at all as Paypal doesn't have any problems dealing with these type of companies! Last edited by stewbrash; 04-23-2021 at 02:20 PM. |

Here's the one sole review they listed under the description:

Let's hope it works out for you! The BMS is pretty much the same bike as the Brozz and Storm (the the BMS is on the same EPA/DOT certificate, although the engine is different, so not sure how it falls on the same certificate?).

Thanks Culcune! After extensively researching the BMS the main differences are the 21/18 wheels vs the 19/17 of the Brozz/Storm and the BMS doesn't have the counter-balanced motor. The description also lists Digital Gauges, which only leaves the Brozz...as the Storm and BMS have analog.

I hope they are not sending you a Storm, as the specs seem to be for a Storm. Not that the Storm is bad by any means, but the CRP is its own bike.

Jeffrey, thanks for the input, but the description specifically says "Inverted front forks, Balance shaft and Digital gauges"...and if you'll notice at the bottom of the list, it says "Rear Disc Brake." The only bike in America that this matches is the Brozz. I'll let you all know the true story of this obvious deception and tom-foolery by tomorrow! If...they answer their phones!

That looks like a CYA listing. There's just enough discrepancies so they can give you anything they want. The picture is a BMS CRP 250 but the BMS CRP 250 would have 21/18 wheels, non-counter balance engine and rear disc brakes.

Yeah, it was the Bashan quality and the 21/18 tires that I was shooting for!

UPDATE, 11:15 MT, 4/19/21
Well I called TXPS at 10 right after they opened and surprisingly a representative/girl did answer the phone. After explaining that the bike I ordered, a BMS CRP 250, does not come with 19/17 tires and my receipt stated "Nduro 18C", and after giving her my order number she started reading the description verbatim back to me over the phone. I told her that I knew every motorcycle imported to the United States and that description matches only one brand and model bike...a Bashan Brozz 250, NOT a BMS CRP 250. So I asked exactly what bike were they planning on shipping me? She told me to hold and came back 5 minutes later and said in fact, that I did order a BMS CRP 250 but we are out of stock and she will have to contact the suppliers and get back to me shortly. Shortly to me is a half an hour, not 2 hours. I'll give them 4 hours to figure this out and call back...........to be continued. |

That is what 'Safer' Wholesale does. Good thing you checked, and unlike Safer, they refunded your money and did not send the wrong bike. Although in their defense, based on a few members who were new to the Chinabike scene, Safer Wholesale did call them and ask them, "We are out of Bike A, but can we send you Bike B?"
You did your homework and wanted the CRP which, while being close to a Brozz, is NOT a Brozz. I completely understand your wanting the 21/18 wheels and tires. The Brozz, however, is a great bike, but I question where they get their Brozz unless Peace sells them to them.
