eBay exhaust engagement emergency encountered experimenting

When I took out my TT250 for a test ride after installing the eBay exhaust the clutch worked fine a few times then the clutch stopped engaging and I had to push her back home. After I installed the eBay exhaust I noticed the clutch control arm was slightly touching the exhaust. The bolt holes line up perfectly on the pipe and it has space between the exhaust and airbox so I don't really want to try bending the pipe for fear of causing clearance or alignment issues. I guess once the pipe heated up it interfered with the clutch engadgement.

Can the clutch control arm be rotated? Or is there a easy way to fix this?

Easiest way to fix it is a ball peen hammer and a little anger. Doesn't need to be a huge dent, just flatten out that section a bit. Won't hurt exhaust flow and it's not visible unless you really shove your face up in there to see it.

I wasn't sure how much more room I needed for the control arm but a few good blows with a mallet seems to have done the trick. It didn't take as much as I'd thought it needed. I'm going to let her warm up good in my driveway and see if the clutch engadgement changes before I go on another test ride. I'd also like to get a pry bar in between my exhaust and air box when warm and see if I can't gently persuade a bit more clearance. I have about 1/4" but I'd like to see if I can get a bit more.
