Hi guys I’m not new to the hobby just not familiar with the Chinese models. I’ve done a bunch of googling but still need help. According to the vin it’s a 1988 model. (Tenth letter is J) Seller Said he thought 2018? Did they make this model that long ago? I also need a clutch cable and lever. Needs a rear fender but wouldn’t mind getting a completed plastic set if it’s cheap like your typical pit bike plastic? I have had the smaller style pit bikes. Not familiar with the larger style like this one so I don’t know what plastics will fit? Thx in advance!!!

The OEM in China is Hensim, and we used to have 'Hensim' as a manufacturer/distributor in the US in City of Industry in the greater L.A. area. They got in trouble with the EPA as numerous Chinese brands do, and they pulled out of the US years ago. They regrouped as Ricky Power Sports, or RPS, and are now in the greater Dallas metropolitan area. I would start with them. The Viper is unique as far as it being more of a small full-size bike than a pitbike. The advantage is that the Viper is still around so you should be able to source parts directly. I do recall members with parts questions for the Viper being shocked by parts prices, so be prepared for that.

Here is their link:
https://www.rickypowersports.net/dirt-bike I just noticed, right next to the 'dirt bike' tab is a 'more' tab. Click on it, it has all Viper parts!

I don’t know why it cuts my replies off? I didn’t see the oil seal or plastic. I emailed them. I know China bikes are usually clones of a brand name so I was hoping to find that out so parts could be had a little easier. I appreciate all you knowledge and keep it coming!!
