Apollo 250RX db-36 front and/or rear sprocket changes for torque & part selection
I want to change hearing for more torque and less top end.
I clocked the bike at 62 wide open. I would like more low end torque. Where can I buy compatible sprockets for the 250rx Zongshen ? Should I go to a 13t front and keep the stock rear? Can I do that and keep the stock size chain? I want to lose topspeed a little, and only gain a little torque. Please chime in. Because I believe the parts availability limit the gear ratios. I don't know. Do other make bike sprockets work? Please let me know. I'm also wanting to change the rear strut. Hopefully just a part swap if possible. |

Don't want to go custom.
I read that article. Good information. But I was asking if there are sprockets from other makes that I can use. I haven't seen anything concrete about that. Once I know it's not possible to use sprockets from other makes then I will go custom. Thanks |

It's the same center hole and bolt pattern as the Hawk but only available in 428 and 520. You will have to get custom made for the 530. I've ordered a custom sprocket from these guys and was shocked how quick i got it and wasn't that expensive either. https://shop.pbisprockets.com/product.sc?productId=503

2019 Apollo 250RX Wanting more torque, looking to get a larger rear sprocket roughly 50-52 tooth. Is there solid measurement for this sprocket to go through PBI to have a custom one made ?

Just buy this front sprocket. Put it on, adjust the chain, and ride. This is like adding 10 teeth to the rear.

I have installed a 52 tooth sprocket on the rear, I’ve cut back the lower chain guide to where the sprocket doesn’t run against it. My question in relation to this is that when rotating the wheel I feel the degree the chain runs off of it and into the teeth of the rear sprocket is causing excessive vibration(significant bounce when chain leaves the lower guide). Will this be fine or should I remove the guide all together.
