Asiawing 250
I got a couple of these Asiawing 250's to try out, the going is pretty hard in Laos and Honda CRF250ls is about all we have to choose from, great bikes but far from fun, way to heavy but bullet proof. I was looking around and spotted these and decided to give them a crack..
We had them shipped in and assembled them, I think next time I will have them shipped in parts and assemble them completely myself, they weren't put together very well and with 2 side by side it would appear there is no proper assembly line not a problem really as its good to learn as much as possible about the bikes. We got them assembled, the suspension was way to hard, the rear was an easy fix with preload adjustment but the fronts needed stripping, way to much oil in them, i refilled with 220ml and they seem great now.. They have been out on tour a couple of times now and have about 2k on them, I change the oil every tour and have adjusted the valves once, all in all i like them, light and agile with plenty of power. Big thanks to this forum for all the info provided, it was a big help.. I'm going to buy a few more... Last edited by LAOADV; 11-03-2018 at 04:20 AM. Reason: cant upload the pics |

Those bikes seem like they would be the perfect off-road touring bike for SE Asia, and obviously you guys are proving they are, and I bet the price difference between the Honda and these make them far more economical!
Asiawing, the past three or four years, are proving themselves to be quite the anomaly as far as dirtbikes go as far as consistent quality and whatnot. I could be wrong--it might be longer than 3 or 4 years...

Once I have a season with them under my belt it would be fun to make them 300cc, but for now I have to just test the standard reliability......

the rest of the bike can often be upgraded but then again buying another brand with the better parts to start with is a fairly good idea etc. |
