Lifan 200cc iii fuel leak

I just received my Lifan and put it together. I Road 23 miles and the bike stopped. Fuel is leaking from the carb, somewhere around the side where the choke is. I have not had a chance to look at it to close. I'm to damn old to see that close. Any idea" what this could be? Gas pours out.

I did has suggested, removed and cleaned the carb. It runs great. No more leaks. Thanks guy's!

My guess would be a bad fuel line. This isn't unheard of with Chinese bikes.

Have you had a chance to look at it yet? Can you get a picture up? Might just be the drain screw on the float bowls?

Check the fuel line.

Mine was cracked. The line is very cheap.

Could it be the type of gas you used.your not filling it with Jolt cola are you..... :?
I read that it can bubble up and shi7 and boil out and over.I would try different gas and see.....read the manual for correct mixture!

I looked at it again. It seems like the carb is getting way more fuel than it can handle. Not only is it flowing out in the area in the picture, its running out of the overflow tube as well.

I think you might have a problem with your float valve. I've seen that problem. Do you know how to dismantle a carb and clean it? If you do go ahead, if not, do a search on carbs, people have already written it out step by step. When the brass float goes up and down it triggers a valve. If you clean it your problem should go away. You may have to replace it, or you may have a really faulty petcock like I did, but cleaning your carb would be the first step. Just my 2cents, I'm sure others will help out. N2r

Also if you are getting that much fuel flow....

With clean hands,
Pull the dip stick and smell the oil, roll it in your fingers and sniff. If you smell gas, you"ll have tho dump the oil. Gas breaks down the oil, and that can overheat an engine. But that can wait till you solve the problem of too much gas getting to the floatbowls/N2r

Carb. overflow

A very common problem on these carbs. - cycles and scoots. Many times you don't even find a cause, like stuck float valve or speck of dirt. Just open it up, inspect, clean, blow air through and reassemble. Will probably work perfectly. Happened to me on my CFMoto 250 scoot w/Keihin carb.
