I need a better fuel tank. Plain n simple. This thing is just asking to get me a ticket.

Maybe some cool old steel tank, like a toaster shape. You could strip all the paint off, let it rust and then clearcoat it to complete the look.

I was thinking like an old fire extinguisher or maby a small welding gas bottle honestly. But I'm in no hurry. None of the scrap yards here will let me pick through. I dont weld good enough to do a fueltank or I'd just slap one together.

Maybe you can find a shop that recertifies fire extinguishers and ask for an old one; they might be happy to contribute it. If you know anyone who is a maintenance person at a hospital or care facility, ask them if they have an old fire extinguisher or oxygen bottle.

Maybe something like this;

My brother in law just got his hands on an old brass fire extinguisher; that would be epic as a steampunk gas tank. One of the coolest custom tanks I've seen was two Hemi valve covers welded together.
