GY200 brake levers

Had a little a spill the other day and snapped the front brake lever on my 06 Hongdou GY200 :(

A new lever off eBay (prinmary parts source for chinese bikes in the UK) is about £12-14 which is bit steep in my mind.

Does anyone know if any Honda (or other Jap manafacturers) levers will fit ?

TIA

If I owned a whole chinabike instead of just powerplants, and broke a part {through use or quality problem}, I would replace it with the best and easily maintainable part available.

Have a look around at other mainstream bikes, find a lever that suits you.
For argument's sake, lets say it is the Honda CRF230.

Go on Ebay, or to your local Honda shop, and buy the lever with perch for the CRF. Break that lever in the future, replacements are easy enough to find. You just have to remember what bike it was from. Note in your owners manual?

I would apply this concept every time a part broke, or I found a china part that didnt meet my expectations.

You will end up with a better bike in the end.

Yeah i've considered that. I don't really want to replace the master cylinder etc If I don't have too.

I'm sure that something from mainstream Jap bikes will work, its just a case of finding which one.

I'll get you a price on the lever after I open my shop. I'm not on line during the day {shop hours} but will get back to you on this. PM or e~mail me your address as I need that to check shipping.

Hi tricky
Try this site look at the GY brake levers here he may have them in stock and closer to you for shipping

http://www.china-parts.co.uk/acatalo...html#aLE001006

If this works out for you Great, no hard feeling here he is a lot closer and shipping won't be so bad!
