Retrofit 2017 RX3 with ABS?
After a hard braking lockup leading to crash on the road by my son (no injuries, glad to have given my kids the Aerostitch suits) I have become quite interested in retrofitting bikes with ABS.
I note the newer version of the RX3 has ABS. Some digging on the internet located a video where someone in Korea performed this retrofit: Additional digging locates the actual part that he installed here. I'm wondering if any of you have attempted a retrofit, either with the same parts sold on the current model, with a retrofit kit similar to above or other. |

I've found the abs kit on taobao few years back, but Im not confident that it will fit on the rx3. But that video proved that it works. Thanks for sharing mate. Didn't know that this bike is also sold in S.Korea.

Did you install on another bike? If so how do you rate the kit?

I have seen kits but typically the fitting mounting etc from a Chinese seller is always harder then needs to be.
I have seen ABS on a couple local bikes that where aftermarket as no ABS on the China sold RX3 |

Nah I didn't buy the kit because like what NzBrakelathes said, the fitting & mounting will be difficult. You have to find some ways to hide the wiring, hoses and the ABS controller unit (which is quite big).
Plus, I live in an apartment, lack of equipment and skills to do those kind of modifications. |
