New owner of already CA plated ShineRay 200xy
Just purchased a Shineray 200XY Enduro. It already has a CA plate on it with registration good til August.
Am I going to have a problem when I go to renew this thing? I didn't check all the paperwork when I bought it (private party, craigslist) and all I have is the Red sticker reg paperwork. I'm going to call the guy today and see if he has any other paperwork. Should I just go in to the DMV and try to do an ownership transfer and not worry about it til August? Will I be able to renew this thing? The seller said he got some static from the DMV when he originally went to register it but he thinks he got somebody new and got it registered anyway. It runs great, tho it was leaking some oil after the 7 miles to work today. I'll post some daytime pics later today. Thanks guys. -Jason |

You should contact member 'liverchip' If I were you, I would consider "selling" the bike to txx motorsports and buying it back--they seem to be able to register these chinese bikes in Kalifeinstein and is where liverchip bought his recently (street registered, too). This is in case the DMV will not register it again.
