Hey everyone-checking in from CT

I am in the process of buying a Dual Sport bike and was wondering if there have been readers that registered their bikes in the New Haven, CT area? I have only read one report of CT registration (Hawk 250). Thank you for a great site and look forward to time spent learning from it!

Welcome aboard. The Hawk is a good little bike. Just check with your DMV and make sure you can register it. Best place to register is at one of the local notary/ tile shops. They will put some effort into getting you registered. That's how they make money.

CT can suck. the DMV is the only place you can register it. I know that Enfield is familiar with the Hawk and will register it don't bother with wethersfieild they are horrible human beings hell bent on making your life miserable.

I love my hawk and it sports a VT plate but when I got mine in 2015 it was really the only game in town. Now with the Bashan Enforcer there really is no reason to deal with the hassle of the hawk. The enforcer is 49 state legal. CA need not apply.

I agree completely if you live in a state where registration is questionable. The Enforcer is literally the same bike with the addition of an air pump system that is easily removed if desired.

The catch is, the Enforcers have more limited sales options as far as retailers go, although that does seem to be changing.

Welcome aboard in any case!

Just printed out my papers today to send in for a VT registration on my Pitster Pro XTR 250...CT is a nightmare I just don't care to deal with right now. I might transfer my VT reg and get a CT title sometime down the road.
