The sensor is housed in a cast piece of aluminum so its width on the axle will never change no matter what the internals are doing.
I'll have a better look at the breaks when I get home. I don't believe the caliber is floating. Does it have to float or else only one side of the rotor would be pressed on right? CSC recommends removing the caliber to remove the axle but I left mine in place. I only took it off after I started having issues. |

The caliper has to float to allow for brake pad wear.

Well it's fixed now, thanks everyone for the help...
It all started when I didn't remove the caliber when I took the wheel off. So when I went to install it I spread the pads to make it easier and I think I inadvertently moved the caliber. The pins it's supposed to float on desperatly needed grease and so I think it binded on the rotor instead of sliding on the pins. Now that I cleaned and greased the pins the caliber moves butter smooth. |

I just changed a brake caliper on my daughter's UTV a few weeks ago. It was the same way. No grease at all. So I pulled the others off and did them too.

I did something very silly with my TT250 when I out the front caliper back on; I actually got the rotor between the pistons and the outside of the pad; thus the pistons were directly impinging on the rotor. The result was a grinding sound.
