Front Signal Light Burning out (Glen)

NOTE: This is someone else's bike, not my own. I have my own turn signal problems - Kawazacky

I noticed today that my right side turn signals weren't blinking. The front right signal light was burnt out all together.

I went to the store and bought a new bulb and put it in right in the parking lot. With the light cover off I tried the right turn signal, and then the light immediately sizzled and a cloud of powder filled the bulb. Any ideas as to what might have caused this? I presume that bulb was drawing to much current?

To note: The left signals work just fine and the right rear bulb is not blowing out, just the right front.

I would like to try and solve this before riding to work tomorrow.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!
