Maddogs on Long Island?

Hi,
I’m looking to get a mad dog as my first scooter. I’m new to this forum and to scooters.
1) Any advice you would offer a noob?
2) I’m looking to buy from Cajun Maddogs. Are they a good place to buy?
3) Are there any Long Island Maddog riding groups?

Welcome to here! I have not looked through the new members section for a while, other than the top newcomers, so did not realize no one answered you. I am no scooter expert by any means, but I have found a great forum for any size scooter, in spite of the name of the site: http://www.49ccscoot.com/

Generally, like all Chinese scooters, the engine will be great, but it is everything else that falls off and/or breaks. The owner of the site owns and swears by Chinese scooters, so you will be in great company!
