Still waiting for the MCO to arrive from manufacturer. So here are some things I learned while putting mine together:
- You need to either have a friend lift the bike while you assemble the front wheel or use a pulley system to lift the front while you attach the wheel. - The rear shock absorber is not installed yet. I realized that when I went to use the kickstand and it wouldn't stay up. I installed mine by leaning it on the kickstand and undoing the simple bracket that was holding the shock to the bike. it's actually pretty easy. I will probably replace the shock as it's too bouncy - charge the battery with a trickle charger for 10 hours. They don't recommend anything over 0.1 amps to charge. - I changed the oil right away. I refilled with synthetic 10w-30. The correct bolt to remove is the one on the right side (if you're facing forward). The inadvertently removed the wrong one. Ping me when you get yours. Would be great to have somebody to collaborate with while modding the bike. I live in Melrose. cheers |

I'm north of Boston, about half an hour north of you.
I sold my old 250cc Suzuki a couple years ago due to being fresh out of college with no money. Couple years out with a stable job now, so I'm looking at a new bike. I'll probably have a Vader on order within the month. I'll be interested to hear how registration goes. Please keep us informed. |

So I bought my bike through powerdirtbikes.com and the shipment was very straightforward.
But I have not received the MCO from the seller yet. They said they have sent it and I should I have received it but I told them I have not. They will have to request a new one from the manufacturer and then they have to write my info on it and then resend to me. For now, I'll focus on doing some minor mods to the bike. - replacing rear and front blinkers - looking into replacing headlight with some bright LEDs I have in the garage. - air filter mod to allow more air in |
