RPS Tornado 250cc

Looking to buy a sport atv. I have found the RPS Tornado to be a full size and has the larger cc engine. Looking at different sites some list the bike as a four speed automatic, one list as four speed manual, one list as a five speed manual. Which one is true, or is there different models? Also the frame color is different from one seller to the other. Can anyone clear this up? And is there any owners out there with reviews. I very strong mechanical skills and experience with all types of engines and mechanics. Thinking a china bike maybe right for me. Is there a better dealer to buy from?

Welcome to here! This is not a retailer, but the actual distributor, Ricky Power Sports (RPS), from Dallas. Here it states the quad is a 4-speed plus reverse. http://therps.net/ATV-Tornado.html

Member Adam Renkleff is the actual dealers' rep for RPS, so no matter who you buy from, you can get answers to any potential issues directly from him. Also, since you are mechanically inclined, that is a big bonus, not to mention the support of many of our very mechanically inclined members. Even someone like me (not very mechanically inclined) is not intimidated by these bikes seeing all the support available for them! Not to mention, the engines themselves are usually the last thing to worry about.

Oh, and if you look at the fine print on RPS's site, you should probably look for a 2016 model, seeing as the older ones had handlebar vibrations.

"They have also improved the 2016 model, reducing handlebar vibration."

Just found the site and signed up. Hope I'm not too late to help you out but we just purchased 2 of these at Christmas time for my wife and I. It is 4 plus reverse as well as manual. They have been a blast. I'm extremely hard on mine, the wife not so much to hers, but they have had no issues so far. Super easy to assemble. I've ran mine thru, or buried it, in every mud hole I've came across and even rolled it a couple times. It's held up great. I probably change the oil more than it needs but it's a cheap and easy way to avoid any issues.

Is it really a true "full sized" quad? Most of these China quads are basically "almost full sized" with little bodies attached.....hence the wheels stick way out and you get real muddy.

Please let me know how your Tornados perform. Do they seem to be well built? I since have bought a coolster 125, and 2 honda 250 recons. Got both 2013 creampuff hondas for 3400. Very lucky! My son is looking for a atv now. Would you recommend the Tornado?
He will abuse his much more than I. Also, which company did you buy from?
