New shocks ordered for the Coolster
I have tried breaking in the stock shocks/springs but they are just WAY too stiff. My daughter weighs 60 lbs and she does not compress them at all. I ordered three new ones to try out.
Front https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Rear https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I will update this thread after they arrive. -Eli

I'd like to eventually get some nicer ones for the Rhino. I wonder how close these would be. The fronts look like they may be good but I think I have a longer rear shock. Guess I should measure...... ;-)
Let us know how you like them!

Watching this thread closely. I would like a softer rear shock... the fronts on my Rhino don't seem that bad.

Last summer I bought a new rear shock from Eagle ATV parts for the ATA250D because the original one had started to leak. The spring rate is just about right and it works well. The shock on the Rhino is way too stiff. Looks to me like the ATA250D and the Rhino rear shocks are interchangeable although the ATA250D shock is about 1 cm shorter. Putting a ATA250D shock on the Rhino might be an easy way to get a better ride.

Let me know how they fit. The stock springs come real close to hitting the upper ball joint in the A arms, and these springs are 60mm wide. So they might touch and rub. I've been looking into these for a while, please keep us posted and let us know how they fit and feel.

You can get the specs for the front and rear shocks for the 3150dx-2 off of coolster.com .the fronts are 320mm(12.6") with 10mm eye bushings. And the rear is 300mm (12").

Links for coolster 3150dx2 shocks specs
Here's the links to coolsters website. Front shocks http://coolster.com/FRONT-SUSPENSION...-JZB-AA005.htm and rear shocks http://coolster.com/REAR-SUSPENSION-...-JZB-BA005.htm 285mm might still work. Make sure they have 10mm eye bushings. But according to coolster it's 320mm eye to eye for the front and 300mm eye to eye for the rear. I put my rear shock on the softest setting and it's not that bad. But the front don't even budge and can't be adjusted.

Rear shock is in and installed. I had to use some washers as spacers but it fits just fine. It is softer when it is adjusted all the way down. I hope it breaks in a little more.

It looks like a nice upgrade. What size ATV is this Coolster? I'm a bit unfamiliar with there offerings.

Shocks
I bought and installed a front shock on the rear of my Grandson's 125 Coolster. He weights about 45 pounds. The shock is 300mm eye to eye, and
was intended to replace the front shock. Very giving but works great for his weight. |
