wonder if its just a marketing thing or does one exist for hotter spark?

I have read about the better CDI's and the adjustable CDI's over on My China Moto. They are nothing more than a CDI that is programmed with a different timing curve, or in the case of the adjustable one, it has a few selectable curves. These do make a difference on high-performance bikes. I have run them on my Japanese bikes. On the low powered low-performance China bikes, I doubt you'll notice much of a difference.I've never tried tho, on a China bike. YMMV

thats what i figured just a marketing ploy cause it has the same engine as the hawk.
