Thumbs Up Hawk 250 desert Ride 67 miles long

Hello to all, after making the carb and sprocket mods. It was time to take the Hawk out! The Hawk performed without one glitch and got me out and back! The throttle and power band is good. I was surprised even the low end has pretty good torque still. The day got late and I wanted to ride more in the desert. Wanted to hit the wash but didn't. That's another day. Found other riders out doing there thing. Some were out shooting weapons as well. The Hawk cruised 55 with no problem. Its nice and smooth rolling. Got dark on the way back. Lighting was just right. No mods yet. The video is 41 min long and not of the whole ride. My battery powered video sunglasses can't video that long. They were very cheap on Ebay.

Gas mileage on the Hawk 250

Went riding sat. Filled the tank. Went 72 miles of mixed street and dirt. Refilled the tank. Given tank capacity less reserve. I could go 260 miles before going on reserve. Another 40 on reserve. Went 72 miles and frilled the tank of .825 gal for 2.56 cents. I'd say I beat a Prius on mileage. Maybe not the Volt though lol. The mods were the Mikuni carb with 110 jet, 17-45 sprockets. Exhaust not changed.

I messed up the original by overtightning the mounts and damaged the Odometer (2892km). Replacement was a super cheap ebay and has lasted 4106km.

May look up az's vapor and go with the count by wire. Get rid of the mechnical.

4348.356 total milage since last march

Yuma is isolated; he's got nothing to worry about me finding him since I can tell he is no where near here.

You should definitely go with a digital cluster--the mechanical ones do not last.
