Randi and I are partners and the thing she was talking about is the air induction hose between the engine and the valve assembly some sort of emission thing which we remove and plugged at the motor and the carb and the bike are runnning great.

Hi msRandi & Akonababe
The part that you removed and plugged is an air pump or smog pump. They are better known in the USA on cars from back in the late 70's & 80's when they started putting emissions systems on our automobiles. The air pumps where added in 2006 & 07 to meet the stricter emissions standards in the USA. Removing it will not hurt the engine at all and yes they do run better after you re-adjust the carburetor. Just hope that the USA doesn't start emissions testing bikes and quads {4-wheelers} . All of the quads that I have received this year have the air pumps. I hope that this helps. Bruce has already answered the question about these pumps.
Seems that the hoses that many of these bikes have installed for the pumps to work are little more than vaccuum hoses and yes, they will burn through many times. As Bruce stated, these are being used to pass emission testing and they do that job OK, they just don't last very long, as in your case. You did a good job plugging it.
