150 sunl issue
so we were out riding on an old railbed this past week and we have noticed that the wifes SunL 150 cc atv started smoking blue pretty good after a wile ...also noticed oil everywhere under the front and that turned out to be coming from the breather tube at the cyl head.....what would be the reason this is doing it?

Immediate first guess is oil overfilled. Find out the oil capacity for the engine and fill to that exact amount. Don't trust any dip stick or sight glass.
Does the oil smell like gas/fuel? / |

GY6 150cc engine oil capacity. And fill instructions.
Fill with 25 to 31 oz. of API Classification SF-SG (SAE 10W-40) oil Doublecheck by adding little over 1/2 quart oil first. Start the engine and check for leaks Shut off engine and check oil level with dipstick, do NOT screw the dipstick in when making this check. Add oil if necessary to reach safe level. |

Also make sure your oil filter screen is not blocked.

.8L (~27 oz.) is a SAFE bet http://www.kymco.com.tw/www2010/event/lovecar/oil/ for GY6 125/150 UNLESS overhauled...

ok did an oil change on the 150 and changed the spark plug (was really fouled) and she fired right up ...bit of a tuning with the idle and it runs and idles great with no blue smoke and nothing coming out of the breather tube.
i am guessing that it was due the the high altitude and running it for a few hrs with no real break.
