New to dirt bikes and so many questions
Hi, I'm completely new to dirt bikes, and to message boards. I bought my son a used Tao Tao DB10. It runs pretty good but I found a few things I was not sure of. First I found a tube attached to the exhaust that runs to up under the seat attached to nothing, not sure what it is and if it's ok. Then I found a tube running from the carb/choke that ran to nowhere. There was a little port on the carb that looks like it could attach to but not sure. I'm attaching pictures of those two things. Lastly, what are some good places to buy replacement parts for Tao Tao's. Thanks for the help.

Are you sure the first one is coming from the exhaust and not from the "bottom part" of the engine?
The second one is the overflow tube of the carb. It goes to nowhere "by design". |

The first picture looks to be the charcoal canister for the pair system. It's possible that the second picture goes to the other side of it I can't tell where it's going from the pictures. The third appears to be carb vent / overflow. It's vents to atmosphere.

canister
this is hooked up the exhaust pipe .. to a anti back fire valve... if the muffler gets plugged... normally it would back fire,,,, this lets the pressure stop and go out this valve reliefing the pressure... just leave it tied up.. all new units have them... EPA STUFF
