Got my paperwork from Motobuys fast
April fools day!
It's been 3 weeks now and all they have to say at Motobuys is "We are waiting on the factory..." For some reason or another I don't believe that. Did anyone get their Hawk 250 MSO from Chongqing Haosen Motorcycle Co., Ltd., Chongqing China ? I've got blank MSO's with the bikes. Is this how they are made? http://www.motorcycle-manufacturer-l...duplicates.htm Just curious..

Wmw... they all are that way, blank. I got a Bashar like that. Mso first , then pay the tags, then the title delivered to you in the mail from the state you registered it in. that's the way it works, sucks.

Well, you are looking at this as the glass 2/3 empty.
Look at it this way, it has ALREADY BEEN 3 weeks, , , so maybe in about 6 MORE weeks you will have a MCO in hand!!!

By the way, why does everyone keep calling them " MSO ".
It is a Manufacturers Certificate of Origin. Now, I am not the brightest feller to gradgimatate 'da 8th grade, but that makes it an MCO, , , , , , , , unless I am missing something here.

"Manufacturers Statement of Origin" aka "Manufacturers Certificate of Origin"
I'm guessing it was just a "Loosely Translated" or maybe a "Translation error" during the paperwork process when they (China) first started to import/export vehicles ??

No it's just a lie motobuys tells they are printed at rps in Dallas. Sorry mis read it yeah you are probably right on the translation thing mco/mso means the same to me but we china riders have been conditioned that way.

Both MCO and MSO are valid terms.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manufa...cate_of_Origin However, I believe MCO is the original acronym, and MSO was later accepted as its equivalent.

Finally! Got all three registered.
It was simple and took about an hour at the DMV. The VIN did not match anything on record for the state but after some "research" Columbia's DMV came up with a match. We are now legal and riding to our favorite trails.
Motobuys just plain lied and took forever to process the MSO/MCO. The original was printed by RPS within 3 days of delivery. I don't know why Motobuys sat on the paperwork for so long. No reason for this absurd delay. Their excused of "waiting on the factory" was a total fabrication. The bikes are great and fun to ride. Some little quirks but easy to remedy. We already have over 200m on them. Not sure if it is real miles or kilometers. Having too much fun to check. Thanks to all for your support!

The papers are part of the bike and the bike is worthless with out them unless you never intend to register it. And if some one did take a bike off the truck complete with the papers how are they going to register a bike reported stolen? |

My friends at Excalibur send their paperwork with their bikes. My MCO was IN the box with my TMEC (as well as the paperwork for a 50cc scooter that was bought by my friend's sister), so registration was easy and painless-ish. Arizona has cracked down on the registration process for self-registered Chinabikes, meaning they do a visual inspection, and only at the MVD office (versus the privately owned off-site MVD offices that do most all MVD paperwork for a fixed $10 to $15 over the price the state charges--well worth it to NOT have to go to the MvD). I had registered a bike about 11 years ago at one of those places, no problemo!
If things work out, Excalibur might start carrying the Hawk. Information to come...
