Christmas in Spud-Land!
I enjoyed Christmas at my girlfriend's family vacation home in Sun Valley, Idaho this Christmas. Sun Valley is a premier ski resort in the nation, if not the world. I am not a premier skiier by any standard but I knew enough to live through a day on the slopes at elevations up to almost 10,000 feet and about a dozen degrees below zero Fahrenheit.
We also went snow-shoeing and cross country skiing. As you all recall, Doc HATES winter and HATES white $#@% but I was able to suspend my feelings to enjoy being with Tammy in what has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I'm hoping Spud will take me back to smilar places when the weather is nice and the snow is all gone! Getting chilly... Out to dinner with Tammy. Cross country skiing at sunset. VERY hard sport. I'm in good shape and it wore me out. 8,000 feet not much air and I was clumsy and inefficient. This paw print was almost as big as my hand. I'll tell myself its a coyote but I thbink it's a wolf. Doc trying to stay vertical. Tammy is an expert skiier. She grew up on this stuff. I can't tell you how beautiful it was up there. Very cold but we stayed warm. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my Chinarider friends!

Excellent trip Doc! Sure looks like you and Tammy are having a wonderful time!
I remember back in my skiing days. I tried cross country skiing ONCE. I always said "Cross country skiing is for those lost souls who can't find the ski lift". It's a great way to wear yourself to complete exhaustion....and get a few cool pics between panting.

Thanks for posting the great photos, Doc. I enjoy viewing them from the comfort of my home. Indeed, there is a lot of nice riding near Sun Valley. I hope you and Brother Roger can bring your bikes to Spudville next year.

Amazing pics, Doc. I can't remember the last time I was on two planks. I need to get out on the mountain.
