Define Pit Bike for me?

Pit bikes are typically a honda xr50 or a copy of one. They are intended for small kids, but the adults ride them in the racing "pits".
The stock ones have a 50cc engine, but I think that modified ones can be as large a 150cc. They have small 10" or so wheels. Allen

they originally became popular for riding around in the pits at races as an alternative to bicycles. the theory is that they take up less space than a bicycle, so they're easier to take with you to a race
