Honda XL250

My brother-in-law found this on a job site. I guess he asked the owner about it and the guy said he was thinking of selling it. Runs perfectly. $900.00 later, it's his. Only has about 4000 miles on it. I believe it's a 1978.....

Killer deal. I'd have bought a half dozen at that price if available. Looks like it was restored for crying out loud!

I swear Doc, the guy roots around like a carpet beetle hunting for dust mites. He's always coming up with something.....

I could provide a link if you want, but there is one on craigslist here locally, much higher mileage, good but not as good condition, for $2000.

That bike looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor! How do you keep a bike in such excellent condition for 38 years? Obviously, that is a great find.

Awesome! I did a hillbilly resto on one a few years ago. Be sure to tell Bro-in-Law about the oil filter. See post #13 here: http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=10096

Holy cow! You have to pull the whole sidecover to access the oil filter screen? I'll let him know. Thanks Weld!

As much as I loved that bike, that was one of the reasons I sold it. That, and the poor output stator and the 23" front wheel. I know I could have invested the time to change those things, but there was profit in the sale.
