my other bike
i recently purchased a 99 HD wide glide,,with a fully built 106ci stroked engine with woods cam,, S&S crank, with headwork an flat top pistons it has a 10.75 to 1 compression ratio . So much compression it requires compression releases. It was a bear to start when i got it ,,prob why the guy sold it,,,,after i changed out the entire charging system ,,( stator, rotor, regulator/rectifier an lastly a earth X lithium battery ,it now starts reliably!! For a harley it is quick! sorry not sure why the pic turned.

I like the non-softail rear suspension HD's. I presume that they would be a much nicer ride over a long haul. Have you taken it to the track, to see what it would do in the 1/4? I bet it's quick, with a 106 at 10.75:1!
I'm guessing that you took the pic with an iPhone. Mine does the same thing. To fix it, I email the pic to my laptop, open the pic, correct the image and save it.

Other bike
Yep, took pic with iPhone. To be honest I think my softail rode better , an handled better , but that may be due to the " mini apes" .A friend an I where thinking of heading to the strip , but that will prob have to wait till spring.Im currently trying to sell it tho , now that I got it working correctly , but tough time of year to sell , an I did not plan on putting$500 into it. It's a blast to ride, but as I'm getting old , I really want something with hard bags and a fairing!

If you can't get a good price, hand onto the bike until next year, and enjoy riding it for a while.

I hadn't noticed the mini apes until you pointed them out. Would you stick drag bars on it for a 1/4 mile pass?

Harley
If I were to keep it , I would indeed put drag bars , but with 8" riser legs already welded on them. When I did this to my softail it felt like a new bike. If I do get to make a legal pass , I will certainly post it, !BTW. Probably the best mod any one can do to a Harley is change out the crappy rubber triple tree/ riser bushings for a set of $15 poly ones!

My old XS650S had rubber riser bushings as well, and they were odd. I got used to them after awhile, but I would have replaced them, had I kept the bike.
