What is a pity is the fact that none of the above bikes seem to be available in Canada....or at least in my part of the country anyway....

I feel your pain. Most aren't available here in CA either. It changes so often, you really have to keep your eyes peeled. I've been looking at "CA Legal" ATV's and one week, powersportsmax will have the Taotao 250 CA legal, next week not listed as legal. Strange.

You'll have to settle for a Sierra clone, like a TW200. That's what I did, and then I filled it full of Sierra parts.

Yea ironic..one needs to settle for the bike the sierra is a clone of and use sierra parts to maintain it lol

I'm glad I picked up my QLink XP 200 when I did for 1700.00. I can't justify doubling the price for basically the same bike. I was pondering looking at an SSR for the Mrs. because of the smaller wheel size but at 3300+, OTD at my local dealer, there's no way.

The Qlink/SSR's (Suzuki clones) are the cream of the China Crop, but the Hondanoids are looking FAR better than they used to....especially for the $$$! Spud, the bikes you showed at the beginning of the thread appear much better built than my old GY2!
I got my SSR for $2700 OTD in CA last year, but this is still 2x the price of many competitors. I got it after having a good experience with my Qlink which I should have kept. I didn't know the Qlink's were so well priced... I got mine in a trade for a truck.

I am very happy with the SSR, but for the money spent I think parts availability and support could be improved on.

This thread has me thinking again about getting a small China dual sport. I had not heard of Powersporthub.com before. They have, what they are calling, a Rocketa DB200, but which is, I believe, a Bashon GY200 (or some such) for $645 + $500 shipping =$1145, at least that's the quote I get from the web site to my home near Hilo Hawaii.

I also like the Vento 230cc that Motobuys has for $1340 + shipping, which I haven't got a quote on yet.

If they will ship to Hawaii for $500, that is a good deal for you, indeed.

Be advised that Power Sports Hub does NOT ship to Alaska or Hawaii. If you navigate around the website, you'll find it. I also called them to double check, and was told it's true, no shipping to those two states.
