Father's Day Car Show 2015
My lovely daughter decided that we should go to the Father's Day car show in Mission, BC together this year. After an enjoyable breakfast at A&W, we headed out.
I forgot to share these pics. I only took a few pics this year, but I think you'll enjoy them. This early ('28 or '29) Model A pickup was my favourite. The builder incorporated several nice touches into the truck. Tudor 2.jpg Tudor.jpg Tudor 3.jpg Tudor 4.jpg

I particularly like the guage pods. I've had a similar idea in mind for a long time, so it was nice to see it in practice.

I also liked this old Mercury pickup; they were only made in Canada. I puzzled over the motor, because it obviously wasn't stock. It turns out, the owner swapped in a Toyota diesel!

For my motorcycling friends, I found what I believe to be a sweet old Aermacchi in the back of this pickup.

Looks like it was a nice show. I do like the Merc pickup.
The was a guy down this way with a 30 Ford A pick up that swapped in a Mercedes 190D engine and running gear.

It was a beautiful day, so nice that my seasonal allergies were at full throttle. At least I was good for a couple of hours.

I've been sorely tempted to swap the complete running gear from my old Sierra into a vintage truck, but not until I get a new(er) truck.
