Now the RX3 is here and I am trying to consider what I am going to use the bike for the most. I never really ride very far away since there is so much within 50 miles of me, and like to do some trail riding and stuff so the DRZ seems to be optimal, but then the RX3 has FI, more comfortable, and has more modern components (as well as getting a 2015 for the same price as a 2006 DRZ). Choices... Choices.....
3 very diffrent bikes....
the WR is a very good bike for both road & dirt..
DRZ400 is aimed more at the dirt... there real draw back
for both road & dirt is the 5 speed close ratio gear box..
gear it for the road & the lower gears are to high for dirt
gear it for dirt it very buzzy on the road....
I have not riden a RX3... from what I can gather from
this forum they are a nice mildly tuned road ,easy dirt bike
though way over weight .. that can be a good thing
on gravel as the bike won't move around on the lose as
much as a lighter bike... seem more planted on the gound...
In my mined for both road/dirt use the WR250R wins hands down..
So you need to figger out the bikes main use...

Another very very good wee 250 is the Yamaha TTR250
light at 130kgs very trick suspension for what they are
they do seem slow to ride on the dirt..because the
running gear is so much faster than the motor..
6 speed/electric & kick..

If you are interested in trail riding, I would highly recommend the Yamaha and Suzuki over the Zongshen RX3. The RX3 is much more comfortable to ride on the street, but the bike's suspension limits it to dirt roads. If necessary, you can ride fire roads on the RX3, but it will not be comfortable. I'm hoping a better shock absorber will significantly improve the suspension of the RX3, but even then, it will never be a trail bike. The Zongshen RX3 is an adventure motorcycle, and favors the pavement, even over dirt roads.
