I have not seen anyone post here who owns one. The poor reviews could be actual factual shortcomings, or ignorant people who don't know much about motorcycle mechanical things posting naïve things.
I personally, however, based on the fact that I have not seen anyone state they own one here on chinariders.net or mychinamoto.com, would rather look at more traditional scooters. Tao Tao are about the perfect standard of quality and price (taking the 'Chinese' into account and knowing there will be hands on maintenance and repairs needed occasionally and fixed with help from youtube videos) where I would start looking. http://www.taotao.us/ This is what I would get if I was looking for a scooter http://www.taotao.us/index.cfm/scooters/bws-150/ or this: http://www.taotao.us/index.cfm/scooters/powermax-150/

all of those websites are horrible with warranty repairs, it will take forever to get your parts, if you can just go to a store its worth the extra money

I ordered from Greenworldscooters.com which turned out to be also atvscooterstore.com. Also ordered from Powersportsbest.com. I had a great experience with both suppliers. Granted I have not dealt with any warranty issues, but that is a good thing. Here is a thread on my purchases. http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=13964&page=2
I would order from both again no problem. The bike you have linked above is imported by Roketa. I would say that parts would be readily available for it. http://www.roketa.com/product/2/0/59045.shtml. If you look at the top right you will find a manual and parts menu. If you buy Chinese plan on being 90 percent on your own. Good thing about Chinese bikes is that they are fairly simple to work on and parts are cheap and easy to get if you can figure out which part you need. If you are not wanting to do any foot work on finding parts or wrenching then I would steer away from a Chinese bike. They are a great value though if you want to take the time with them. I would not worry about suppliers much. They get a bad reputation from people that I just described. They do not want to wrench or look up parts and then the great deal they found is a piece of Chinese junk. Then they have to save face with their friends by bad mouthing everything. To me that is great because it keeps the price low. I have three Chinese 4 wheelers that I bought 6 years ago. Still run great and have not had a bit of trouble with them. Good luck, George. |

Actually ghcoe, you are one of the people I was thinking of when I responded to a post above from a guy looking for a quad for himself after buying his son a no-name Chinese quad. I mentioned TaoTao quads and said how some people here had sworn by them, taking the Chinese into account.
