At least you got out there, even if there is no proof.
Glad to hear that Jess is enjoying her bike. Please start a thread on your 'Yota; I'd love to see what you've done to it. I haven't built one for 20 years; it was a 22R, IIRC.

I haven't really done much to this yota. It has a 22re came with the body lift.
I have replaced the rear end though. These 22rs can really put out some power. Has a 3rd out of a v6 truck now. There much stronger Me and my brother built a 83 toyota about 7 years ago. I'll see what I can do for a pic of it. It was something else lol Dual transfer cases full exo cage the whole 9 lol it's long gone now though Dave |

I'm hoping to get out more in the fall. Won't be to hot during the day for Hailey.
Once her harness is here it'll be even easier to take her on longer rides too Dave |

No proof again. But we went out again yesterday. Had a baby sitter. So just me jess and my brother. Quad incident in other thread. So we parked it for a bit and Fred took the xr80. And jess hopped on the back of my bike. We rode the scenec rout from Cassidy to ladysmith. And we're going to take the quicker way back to Cassidy.
We just hit the ladysmith main line and the xr fouls a plug. No one brought anything. No tools nothing. So me and jess rip back to truck. About 20 min wot the quick way. And Fred starts pushing the bike to the gate at the bottom of the logging road. Because if I dident find tools. We were going to need to meet at gate to load the bike in the truck. Me and jess got to my truck and I asked a group of people if anyone has tools. One of them has plug wrench I need. If it were only the xr plug swap can be done with a multi tool wich Fred had. BUT I needed the plug out of the quad as I just put my last spair in it that morning. And the gy6 requires a socket to remove it lol. Jess waited at the truck/with the group. And I meet Fred at the gate and swapped the plug and rode back to truck. Kinda a ramble on story. But I figured it was worth sharing Dave |

Interesting that the plug fouled. Is it the plug that came with the bike? Four strokes like your Honda don't go through plugs very often.

It burns so much oil and could probably use a carb tune. I've decided just to swap plugs as needed till I have time to rebuild it. I don't want to reject yet either till I get the exhaust sorted out

Refresh my memory; do you have another motor just like it?

Ok, that's what I was thinking. That allows you to rebuild your spare GY6 motor while still using the one in the ATV, which is really cool.
The XR needs a 200cc pushrod motor.

Ride sat sept 6
My wife had a baby shower. So me and Fred decided to take the bikes out. We decided to head up ladysmith side today. this is holland lake. More commonly known as company damn It is a man made lake and is ladysmiths water supply We heard from many sources that the lake was fairly low this year. So we decided to go see for ourselves. Where we're parked and alot of the images show land that should be under water This is taken standing closer to where the waterline normally is. I'll ride or drive around the lake one day and get more pictures. Showing the man made walls ect. Really neat stuff. I'll go at a different time of year to showing the different water levels. Plus in winter. We can skate on this lake On our way back down we decided to check out another lake. This ones not to far off the road we were on anyways. This is. Coronation lake. I've never heard anyone call it that and everyone I know calls it. Sutton lake If I'd known we were going to stop here I would of brought my fishing rod lol This is a fairly small lake. But it's very quiet and secluded We saw a bear on our way up today. Wish I got pictures of it. But was not quick enough That about sums up our adventure for today. We rode a couple other places. But no more pictures. Plus wasent anything to to interesting lol Dave |

Another beautiful day on the Island. How did the bikes run for you? How does Fred like the XL? What elevation did you get up to?

Bikes ran great. Fred like the xl it's a little small. But still super fun
We tryed a hotter plug in the xl (cr6hsa instead of cr7hsa) we'll see if it lasts longer I'm not sure what the elevation was. Can't find it online either Dave |

A 6 might be a little hot for this time of year. Save that for colder weather.
