Had my first damages for this bike, the rear shock broke in half when i took a little jump at the Saint Anthony sand dunes. Also the rear tire popped and the chain flew through the case and damaged the stator I'm guessing since it no longer runs. pictures to come tomorrow.

I'm sorry to hear about the damage to your bike. I travel to Rexburg every so often, but I have never been to the Saint Anthony Sand Dunes. I need to get over there!

interesting thread, wild alaskan. once a chinarider...
pit bikes are fun and will buy one if i see it for cheap. until that happens i ll learn from you some preventative maintenance coz probably many components are crap and the bikes are meant for riders who weigh 50 kilos or so.

I think the pitbikes tend to be pretty well made for what they are.

One of my patients is a smaller gal with a Pitster Pro 160 dualsport and she rides it everywhere. She also has a Ninja 250.
Needless to say, a great gal :-)

The bike has been resurected total parts cost of about $50 I have a new case cover and my old 400cc lifan shock installed. Have a chain guide for the back sprocket to make sure the chain can never fall off again and a new roller for my chain tensioner in the mail.
It has a little more ground clearance now and dampening action. Its a lot of fun in the snow!
