Have you removed the cover to see if either switch has broken wires? If so, they could be repaired.

What were the original jet sizes?

unfortunatly there are no markings on the original jets.
I went on the advice of another forum that said that when you change to a uni filter to bump the jets in the stock carb up to a main .40 and a slow 130 (if needed)

You must still be tired.
I presume you mean a 130 main and a 40 slow. I'll check my spare carb and see what the jets are as a baseline. Those sizes sound a little large to me.

I just checked, and the stock slow jet is 34 and the main jet is 103. It's feeding 150cc, and the only change you've made is a pod filter. I'd try a 110 main and the 34 slow jet. If it won't idle, try the 40.
