Viva 250 rear shock replacement

Looking for a replacement for the stock rear shock. It leaks out air as fast as you put it in. Zero dampening - Any suggestions ? Bought in 2007

Not the one I was thinking of. The one that was widely repaired on the forum was a piggyback type. Not sure what to recommend.

That does sound familiar. Might be worth a search.

Do these shocks appear as if they would fit?

the Shock

I think I solved my shock issue - today I disassembed the shock and played with the adjustment on the bottom. Seems to be working (the dampering part) seems to be holding air too. Have to reassemble and try it out. Now on to the front forks.

Thanks for the shock suggestions but there would be a major problem fitting the units with the side mounted reserve.

ebay has a shock from showa and gio new off of a gio x31 250.

3 different prices, 1 for aprox 100, the other for 179 and one for 214.

The one for 214 has a visible valve up top and color is slightly different.

I could not decide which to buy, so I took my old one apart.

Is your shock the same as the ones on ebay...the showa and gio shock?
