Thinking of selling the Two Brother's Racing M7 pipe on KLX
Even with the quiet insert and earplugs this bike rings my bell.
Roger and I did an 80 mile off pavement ride (dirt and gravel roads mostly) yesterday and it's just too loud for me. On trails it's OK due to the lower speeds but pulling 50 MPH uphill on an unpaved road it's loud. Pulling 75 on the highway heading home it's really loud for my ears. I think that I'm not riding it as much as I would because I'm avoiding the noise. I have sensitive ears and tinnitus which I'm trying to not let get any worse. So, I'm debating installing a Q4 and selling the Two Brother's Racing pipe on it now. I have a Q4 on the YZ and I like it. Very decent noise level and performance. Also light. It may not produce quite as much power as the Q4 but it doesn't matter to me. Also the TBR is a work of art. Billet machined magnesium parts, brushed or polished stainless steel. The Q4 is a basic muffler. The TBR is a gearhead's muffler. Before I make a decision, is anyone interested in the TBR? It should fit any KLX newer than 2008. It's in brand new condition. It has the quiet insert and the spark arrestor which was an extra $51. They go for $362 plus shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-12-Kawasa...bfa5bc&vxp=mtr I'd be happy with $200 for a fellow Chinarider.

My ears are worth it.
I ordered a Q4 and put the TBR up for sale. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300736577071...witem=&vxp=mtr

I agree with you and think you'll be much happier with the quieter pipe. When I was younger I used to like loud exhaust's and loud stereo's... Now I despise them both!

It occured to me I avoid riding the bike due to the noise. That's no way to be.

I installed the Q4 tonight.
It does not fit as well as the TBR but its OK. It is not as pretty as the TBR but it's OK. The engine/carburation seem the same/just as good. It is quieter and that's what I needed.

It finally sold for 3/4 of what I paid for it so I'm happy about that.

That's fair. You got a few good rides out of it.

I hope you haven't shipped it. eBay will force him to pay if you initiate a non-payment case.

He paid. I see it in my PayPal this morning. He also threw in $20 as a compensation for being late to pay. I'll give him good feedback.

It's not like I couldn't live without it but I'm OCD about not wasting money. Spending it is OK but not wasting.
