I reconned our new riding area from the air
Indeed it is immense. I doubt I'll ever see it all from the ground.
I only photographed the wilderness area. Sand dunes. The next pics are from Juniper Dunes Wilderness Area. It is adjacent to my patient's property. Some more random shots of the riding area.

Between the two areas there are several tens of thousands of acres to play on. I don't see myself getting bored of it any time soon. I did not see a good place to land though. Will have to look some more.
As you can see Juniper Dunes is great if you like sand. I do not so will save that area primarily for the ATV.

Wow!
That's a riding paradise. I'd love to see it.

That looks awesome riding terrain, Doc!
As I've mentioned to you prior, my X-wifes family was from Tri-Cities...(came real close to moving there)......and her uncle was a Richland cop for his whole career. I wish I could remember what area he was in or what it was called at the time but about 8 years of his enforcement career was riding a dirt bikes "on patrol" in one of the OHV areas there. I remember him telling me how many acres he and his buddy had to cover, I forget, but it was massive. I always thought that if you're going to be a cop, that's the perfect beat!

There is an ORV park in Richland called Horn Rapids. I don't go there much because at only a few thousand acres it is smaller than what I'm used to. Also they charge to get in (quite a bit, like $15 IIRC) and everywhere else is free.
What they have goiung for them is a go cart racetrack (Supermoto bikes too. One guy actually raced a Q there!) This is a good place to live. I have been blessed with good friends, a good job, church, everything. Still miss Kalifornia though, but no place is without compramize. At least here I can walk into a gunshop and walk out with an AK or AR anytime I like.

I love the wide opens spaces in the American West. I'm glad you found a new place to play, Doc!
