Hensim HS250DB
From my other thread, I think I am going to go with this used Hensim Hs250DB as seen here.

Where I would be able to get parts, and if anyone in Canada has registered a bike similiar to this. Any info on this bike you might have would be greatly appreciated. |

It's a Honda clone for sure, but I can't tell if it's OHC or pushrod. If it's OHC, then it's likely a decent copy of an XR200. Does the bike have current registration with SGI? If so, it should be a no-brainer.
Generic parts like levers, handlebars, etc are available anywhere. Bike-specific parts like gas tanks should be easy to find on eBay and online China bike stores. Can't speak to the quality, but I would hammer him on the price.

I haven't been on much due to working crazy hours (and have to for the next month... Yuck!) so I'm not sure if this was posted in your other thread or not. Unfortunately it is not registered with SGI, and yes I did read the review thread. Thats one of the reasons im seriously considering it. vtr99 gave it a pretty good review from what ive seen.

hmm interesting, I was reading elsewhere that they were actually 233ccs, maybe it is a pushrod then? Unfortunately information is really sparse on them aside from the review on here.

OHC means that Honda parts will likely fit. The OHV engines would be harder to source parts for.
It is possible that is is actually a 233cc engine like the crf230. Allen |

It is theoretically possible that it's a 200; you never know until you measure the bore and stroke, but I'd be more focused on how it runs and if it meets your needs. BTW, the engine my son and I built for his XR200R is OHC; they're strong and reliable units, as long as they're not the 1984/85 four valve models. Yours is a more desirable two valve.
The displacement might be stamped on the side of the engine, but even that's not a guarantee. Can you get the VIN from the seller and ask questions at SGI? Might save you alot of hassle.

This may confuse some…it is a document for the California air resource board. It related the Hensim ATV’s with a 230 cc engine. The engine within it is a 167MM. It very likely that is the engine used on the street bike as well as the ATV…different gear ratios maybe.
