2020 brozz 250 looking to upgrade parts questions
My bike currently has 2112 miles on it and the chain shattered this morning locking up the rear tire. I'm look to upgrade the chain and sprockets
What is a good brand of chain and sprockets to look up and what it a better chain to sprocket ratio( if there is any to get more out of the bike) What upgrades can I do to this bike to get more out of the brozz 250 (preferred brands upgrades to research) |

Very interested in this thread.. i have the same bike i got this week and although ive read of the Brozz chain stretching ive never heard of it break or shatter..
Did you have to keep adjusting it to the point where there were no adjustment marker lines left? Was it perhaps streched to the max before this happened? |

No I only made 2 adjustment on the rear because of excessive play in the chain. I actually made sure I adjusted the chain to spec and I triple checked the play in the chain

Plus I just emailed peace sports where I got the bike and asked how much a new stock chain is because there's no info on 2020 brozz 250 parts

Any 428H chain will work. I believe it's 128 links as well. If not get 130 links and chop some off if need be.

Chain can’t be that bad 2112 miles with only 2 adjustments sounds like a quality unit .

The bike stayed in my garage and I interchanged between the street and off-road. I kept the chain lubed and yesterday it decided it want to snap and wrap around the sprocket and swingarm.

Just to confirm: the stock chain is non O-Ring and the recommendation is to switch to O-Ring for more durability, is that correct?
With 128 link replacement would it work to just cut the old chain off with an angle grinder and then attach the new chain and set the master link? With 128 link will the adjustment indicator be at the first positions or more towards middle or farthest indicator lines? It would be ideal for the replacement chain to bring the indicator line at the beginning where possible |

Stock chain doesn't also have a master link? If so, pop it off, connect new chain to old one and pull it through to wrap it around gears; set new master link and ta-da! All done. Don't know about the indicator lines... |
