Apollo Enduro BSR 250 vs Hawk 250
Has anyone got any information or review on an Apollo Enduro BSR 250? It looks just like the Hawk 250. It is also known as a model DB-41H-250.
Is it made by Apollo or Roketa? Please add any comment or review on quality or reliability of the bike or manufacturer. Do you think it performs as well as any of these Hawk 250's by other manufacturers? I am about ready to pull the trigger and get one of these. Thanks - Batabing |

The biggest advantage, at least so I have read, is that it is 49 state legal, thus making it easier to register inmost states. I can't verify that myself, but it is true of most Bashan bikes.

Thanks Megadan!
Thanks Megadan for your quick response and extra info.
I liked the graphics on the gas tank and the dark face on the speedometer of the Apollo BSR that I saw online. This bike had the 21/18 wheels and same appearance of the other new Hawks that I see for sale. The specs of the BSR had a lower HP (11.5 vs 14) than other Hawks...not sure if that is accurate. I would figure they would engineer the motors the same. I visited a dealership in Memphis, TN this week and manager reported that they no longer carried the Hawk 250 or the TaoTao TBR7 due to quality issues. Every person is going to have their own opinion based on what happened to them. This forum is a great place to learn and share to improve the outcome for everone. Thanks - BB. |

The BSR is a Bashan product, not Apollo. There are a few online retailers who seem to like to mislabel Chinese bikes.

The 11.5 figure for the power is in kilowatts. Roughly 15hp.

Thanks for input from Megadan and culcune. You guys provided the info I needed to move forward on this bike. Youtube searches on Bashan BSR 250 provided several good sources of info. Check out: Will let you know how this turns out... Thanks BB. |

Congrats! Good price! One of the guys on this site told me having lots of fun and enjoyment without breaking the bank! There is a ton of info on this site, many $$$$$ of info you would spend if you took it to a dealer. Dealers don't want to work on these as some think they are junk. It took us a while to research, and after purchasing the bms250, sure enjoyed the assembly process. We haven't put miles on our bike yet, as just got a vin inspection, and off to the dmv on tues. I bought a used ttr225 yam a year ago, and put a ton of money into it. I wish I would have bought one of these bikes then, as it would be new, and I could customize it, or mod it. These bikes are simple, but amazing at actually how well built. Many of the people on this site have lot of miles on these bikes, with virtually no issues. My thanks again to all that have posted with lots of input!
