Real name for a Hawk

Considering pulling the trigger on one of these Hawk 250 Enduro and importing it into Canada. I want to make sure that I can plate it in Ontario. One of the things I have discovered is that I will need the name of the original manufacturer. Does anyone know who these are actually made by?
Thanks
DV

Remember the disclaimer I posted before regarding the Hawk--both the Hawk and the Magician are 49-state certified by the EPA as an 'off-road motorcycle' in spite of all their street-legal equipment. Then again, there are PLENTY of places to ride up there, I am guessing, if you can't register them for the street. For that reason, I would suggest the Hawk as the Magician might be a little 'soft' in the off-road department.

The Bashan is EPA/DOT certified in all 49 states as an 'on highway motorcycle' as far as street registration goes.

Try Venom Motorsports. They import some china bikes into Canada. Maybe they can help.

Yup. Tried there. I can't find anything like a dual sport over there.

Perhaps they could track one down; many, if not most, of their products I recognize are being drop-shipped directly from warehouses in So. California. The Hawk, however, is drop-shipped out of Texas, unless one of the distributors they currently use have them or can get hold of them, locally in So. California. Couldn't hurt to ask is what ben2go and I are suggesting.

Realistically those bikes are going to cost him about $2500 or more by the time he gets one into Canada .35% loss on the cash ,shipping ,duty ,taxes etc, sorry but for that money the value in these bikes has run down your leg .I am not a Yamaha guy ,but that last few dual sports I sold were a Yamaha tw ,and a 2007 xt 225 ,and all I can get is $2500.00 for them with 2000 miles ,and reality is they are both better bikes than any of the cheap China bikes you are looking at at the same money .
Now ,there has been a few brands of bikes that have been sold in Canada ,and you might find one sitting in a warehouse waiting for someone to ride .I would start looking for something like that at a bargain price .

The beauty of these bikes is the low price; not worth paying used Japanese prices assuming the used Japanese bike is in really good condition at $2500. Hawks are in the $1300 range, shipped in the US (assuming you live on one of the many states where they can be registered for the road since they are technically off-road only bikes. Makes sense in the US, probably not in Canada.
