So the first thing we did was clean it! It was pretty crusty, I hate dirty bikes (working or not) and the amount of green moss on it was pretty funny hence the name swamp thing.
This is after a 45 min drive in a total downpour which really got rid of a lot of the heavy dirt. Scrubed it down and found no oil leaks, frame cracks or any other little annoyances. It actually cleaned up pretty nice, that front fender though!!

Bent the rear break and the shifter. Notice the green, the whole bike was covered in that.

Part of the battery box is still there but looks like they cut the ends off the wires. Not sure what is supposed to be on those, just eyelets maybe, or how they are supposed to be routed.

These two guys got fried on the exhaust pipe since they weren't strapped to anything, wonder if they still work.

Got the carb off, pulled the bowel off and just had some watery gas in it and this white stuff. Gritty like seashell or something.
I'll get her cleaned up tomorrow.

Makes ya wonder. Sometimes it looks like people actually have to TRY to do some of this type of damage. Got the balance shaft motor!

I wouldn't do anything or spend any cash until I heard the bike run .If it runs alright ,then I would start fixing the rest of it up .
You can soak that carb in some pine sol ,it's cheap and works really well .Carb cleaners are not what they used to be . |
