2014 Yamaha SR400?!

I think it's priced an easy $1,000 too high though... Potential really cool bike.

It's too bad, but I must agree that bike is overpriced. A lot of guys are buying the Honda CB500X for $5,900 OTD (out-the-door).

No comparison in value then.

I was thinking it's $1,000 over the Royal Enfield. I'm sure the Yamaha is much higher performance, but the RE is much cooler, and has adequate performance for it's mission. It is also electric start, and similarly fuel injected, and promises to be cheaper to maintain with very low priced parts availability.

If a person wanted a practical bike that would do most everything well, there is no sense NOT buying the Honda. A great bike at a great price.

That Yamaha has lovely lines, and terrific potential as a café. Add to that the 400cc insurance benefit in BC, and the SR400 is a winner.

Indeed! Very nice bike, but the price is a bit much for the size and displacement. I'd rather spend that kind of green on a few other bikes. . . and that's not even bringing up the second-hand market. . .
