Roketa db-07 to bobber
The more I think about it the more I want to Bob this guy. I have some questions. Spud, what would I need to fit the Zong front 18" rim to the roketa? Can I lower the front end by adding spacers and chopping the front springs? Has anyone every thought to do this? I just want a unique bike to ride to work so I was thinking of stuffing big 4.0-18 tires front and rear, lowering it, adding a metal gas tank, new seat, flat bars, and chopping off the rear. Kind of like this.

What an interesting guy in that blog! I like his taste in bikes and beer.
I really like the shape that Kawi is taking. I've considered a similar build, but I'm leaning more towards a flyweight cafe bike.

However, the Zong employs a different front wheel, which is the same wheel installed on the Roketa DB-07A. Therefore, I think you would have a difficult time trying to fit the Zongshen front wheel to your Roketa DB-07 motorcycle. For example, the front brake rotors are different sizes, and the brake calipers mount in different places, et cetera. You would have an easier time looking for a Chinese bike which employs the standard front wheel, but also uses a smaller rim. Also, you if you wish to purchase custom spokes, you could lace any 18-inch rim to your current front hub. In fact, if you could find the correct die, you might be able to trim the front spokes to a shorter length, and thread the ends for the spoke nipples. Spud

sounds like a fun project. you ll keep the rear suspension i hope? bobbers aren t all that useful, as the rear end gets too hard.
meanwhile, the naked look agrees with me.
